Simley High School recognized nearly 100 students at this year’s Senior Activities Awards Ceremony. The in-school event recognized students for their high school activities careers and featured Simley activities trivia and performances by the Simley Overtime Dancers and Friends as well as the school’s award-winning Saxophone Quartet. 

	The One Sport/Activity Letter Winners category recognized the following students for their dedication to a sport or activity throughout their high school career:

In addition to performing at the ceremony, Simley’s Saxophone Quartet was recognized for their outstanding accomplishment of earning Best in Site at this year’s Minnesota State High School League’s 3AA Solo Ensemble Contest. The group includes two juniors, who were also honored:

The Laurie Beedle Memorial Scholarship was presented to the female senior athlete who coaches chose as someone who is considerate of others, uses her talents to the fullest, exhibits leadership abilities, and is in the upper 50% of her graduating class. Congratulations to 2026 recipient Ella Sanders!

The Timothy Boche Memorial Scholarship was presented to the male senior athlete who coaches chose as someone who displays selflessness, uses his talents to the maximum, and exhibits leadership abilities. Congratulations to 2026 recipient Niklas Abrahamson!

This year’s Athena Athlete of the Year, Josie Johnson, and Apollo Athlete of the Year, Elvis Hernandez Paz, were honored at the ceremony for their outstanding achievement.
